Fixed
Huzza! I've figured out a workaround to the problems that were making it impossible to play the podcast in-browser. The next one has been recorded, (of course) and should be up sometime tomorrow.

New Episode On The Way
Sorry for the delay, to anybody who might still frequent this project. After the initial software fiasco from episode 1, we decided to find something more suitable for recording purposes. Having found it, we've now got the recording set and should have an update within the week.

Episode 1
After long delay, here is our first full episode:
You will notice that Sean's voice is out of sync through large segments of the recording. We apologize for this, but they were due to technical difficulties with some of our recording software and we don't have the time to painstakingly remove them. (It's been long enough already.) Armed with the knowledge that we have now, however, we should be able to avoid this kind of problem in the future.
Enjoy.
Part I: Fluff and Chatter
0:00 - Intro & Preview
1:40 - XCollegiates on recording software, "Pamela"
2:30 - Awful domain names?
3:30 - Freudian websites, like www.com
5:40 - Marlonbrandolookalikes.com
6:30 - Sean's recording lag becomes painfully apparent
7:00 - Moving toward a topic for the day.
8:00 - Sidetracked by www.quantz.com and alternate movie titles.
11:00 - Cheetos Cheetah.
12:30 - Back to the topic at hand (laying blame).
14:30 - Philosophy is suggested.
Part II: Onto the "meat" of the conversation.
15:00 - Philosophy is all words, all semantics?
18:00 - Is Philosophy set against the practical?
20:00 - John argues that Philosophy thinks itself too important.
24:00 - Sean argues against pragmatism in John's argument (with lag, of course).
27:00 - Talking about knowledge.
29:00 - Truth and worthiness, (some garbled microphones).

We're going to be a little late...
...Not that we have any deadlines of any sort
It seems that the recording software that Sean chose to record this failed abysmally. We have a hell of an editing job fixing it. Hopefully we can avoid put it up all fugly. No guarantees however. It'll get better over time, we promise.

First Episode Done
The first episode is done, and we talked about pragmatism in philosophy. It should be up when it's cut by Sean and Andrew. Just thought you readers (and listeners) might want to know. Keep up the bated breath!

Next Episode
Okay, time for some real planning now. When is our next recording session? And who will "chair" the session, for lack of a better term? I've got a couple of ideas, but nothing spectacular. We really need someone like Matt Rose to loosen things up. To talk about things like the ninja/pirates debate, the awesomeness of 1980's over the 1990's, and the intellectual prowess of Calvin and Hobbes.
I think I'll have to acquire some alcohol before recording he next session, too. At this point, booze can't but help.
I vote for Andrew as our "poke the sleeping bear with a stick" type person for the next episode. All in favor, say 'aye!'

And the Launch.
Pilot
Seeing as our pilot venture was a horribly elongated and uninteresting block of pontification, we've decided to forgo it's publication. This is not a problem as we will shortly record another with the aforementioned defect removed. (ie. we won't sound as much like assholes.)
That said, using the magic of sound-bytes taken out of context, we did go ahead and remix the pilot into something far more interesting, which should make it's appearance here shortly. Check back this evening.

Suggestions?
So the first podcast is recorded. But we're going to have to keep things lighter later on. We need more spontaneity, more freewheeling. Maybe a way to achieve this is by appointing one of the three of us to dictate the topics of the podcast and the other two come in cold? Also, we should stay away from anything too mainstream, I think. Get odd news stories, or delve into little-known philosophies.
What do we think? Discuss.

An emerging threat
We just recorded our first podcast. It will probably be posted sometime next week. In other news, blogger has marked us as a spam site. We are working on getting this mix-up resolved. More later.
