Fixed

Huzza! I've figured out a workaround to the problems that were making it impossible to play the podcast in-browser. The next one has been recorded, (of course) and should be up sometime tomorrow.

On Foreign Tongues and other Hate Crimes

Finally, the third second Episode after a long wait and many technical hurdles is here. It's not as fun as previous ones, but the voices are still in order and it should be less confusing, which is always a plus. As usual, the minutes will be posted at a later date.

Enjoy.

New Episode On The Way

Sorry for the delay, to anybody who might still frequent this project. After the initial software fiasco from episode 1, we decided to find something more suitable for recording purposes. Having found it, we've now got the recording set and should have an update within the week.

Episode 1

After long delay, here is our first full episode:

You will notice that Sean's voice is out of sync through large segments of the recording. We apologize for this, but they were due to technical difficulties with some of our recording software and we don't have the time to painstakingly remove them. (It's been long enough already.) Armed with the knowledge that we have now, however, we should be able to avoid this kind of problem in the future.

Enjoy.

Part I: Fluff and Chatter

0:00 - Intro & Preview

1:40 - XCollegiates on recording software, "Pamela"

2:30 - Awful domain names?

3:30 - Freudian websites, like www.com

5:40 - Marlonbrandolookalikes.com

6:30 - Sean's recording lag becomes painfully apparent

7:00 - Moving toward a topic for the day.

8:00 - Sidetracked by www.quantz.com and alternate movie titles.

11:00 - Cheetos Cheetah.

12:30 - Back to the topic at hand (laying blame).

14:30 - Philosophy is suggested.

Part II: Onto the "meat" of the conversation.

15:00 - Philosophy is all words, all semantics?

18:00 - Is Philosophy set against the practical?

20:00 - John argues that Philosophy thinks itself too important.

24:00 - Sean argues against pragmatism in John's argument (with lag, of course).

27:00 - Talking about knowledge.

29:00 - Truth and worthiness, (some garbled microphones).

We're going to be a little late...

...Not that we have any deadlines of any sort

It seems that the recording software that Sean chose to record this failed abysmally. We have a hell of an editing job fixing it. Hopefully we can avoid put it up all fugly. No guarantees however. It'll get better over time, we promise.

First Episode Done

The first episode is done, and we talked about pragmatism in philosophy. It should be up when it's cut by Sean and Andrew. Just thought you readers (and listeners) might want to know. Keep up the bated breath!
